About the service
Zero tolerance
Explosive ordnance doesn't age the way people would like: the fuze of a shell from 1944 and a mine from 1992 are equally lethal today. Removing such ordnance is work with zero tolerance for improvisation: every phase, from approach and identification to transport or destruction on site, has a procedure, and the procedure exists because someone before paid the price of its absence.
Team and standards
Our team is made up of EOD technicians with military experience and years of work in humanitarian demining: more than 7.3 million m² of cleared terrain in Croatia, and international projects in Iraq, including the clearance of cluster munitions and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). We work under Croatian mine-action regulations and international standards (IMAS), with an ISO 9001 quality system that documents every operation.
Engagements and deadline
Typical engagements: clearing mine-suspect areas as part of demining programmes, searching and clearing construction sites after ordnance is found, clearing cluster munitions over a wider area, and assessing and removing improvised devices in cooperation with the competent authorities. For investors and contractors one thing is crucial: the deadline. A construction site standstill because a shell was found costs every day, so we've arranged the procedure so that the minimum time safety allows passes from the call to clear terrain.

If you've come across ordnance yourself: don't touch it, don't move it, move people away and mark the wider location with something visible from a distance. Call 192 (police) or 112. Once the competent services dispose of the found ordnance, call us for a systematic search of the rest of the terrain: where there was one, statistics don't promise it was the last.

Call and assessment
You call or send an enquiry. In a short conversation we define what we're protecting, from what and by when. For premises we arrange a free site visit.
Plan and quote
We carry out a risk assessment and a written quote with exact equipment, headcount and price. No hidden items, with the delivery deadline in writing.
Delivery
System installation or team deployment to plan. For technical systems: installation, configuration and handover with training for use.
Monitoring and maintenance
The alarm receiving centre takes over monitoring 0 to 24, and periodic servicing keeps the system in working order. One call and a technician is on site.

01We found a shell on the construction site. What now?
Stop the works, move all people away, don't touch or move the object and call 192 or 112. Once the services dispose of the ordnance, engage a systematic search of the rest of the plot before resuming works; that's exactly what we do, with a report for continuing construction.
02Do you do removal on your own or with state services?
Depending on the type of ordnance and the location: part of the work we carry out within authorised demining programmes, and for individual finds we coordinate with the police and competent centres that take over disposal. In every case you get one point of contact: us.
03What about cluster munitions?
Unexploded cluster submunitions are among the most dangerous ordnance because they're small, unstable and often half-buried. We have experience clearing cluster munitions on projects in Iraq; the area is searched in a grid, with special approach procedures.
04How long does clearing terrain take?
It depends on the area, vegetation and the number of finds: smaller building plots we handle in days, larger areas we plan in phases with daily reports. We define the deadline before the start and stick to it; delays happen only for safety reasons.
05Are you insured for this kind of work?
Yes, the work is carried out with the prescribed insurance and authorisations for mine action, alongside ISO 9001/14001 procedures. We provide documentation of authorisations and policies to the client before the works begin.
